1. SWAP: Morning coffee queues for pastry and paddles
Grey pavements are no place to spend your early mornings when the sun’s shining. Grab your favourite coffee and Pavilion pastry from our café and head down the hill to get your feet wet in Porth beach’s shallows for a refreshing wake-up wander. Or go all out on the paddle front, book a SUP from Wavehunters and take to the River Gannel. Find a sheltered spot and bask in the contrast of this morning to yesterday. Feel better?
2. SWAP: Bored meeting for board meeting
Spring swells still have winter clout but with warmer weather and warming water incoming, they’re far more fun. Dial out of your conference call and turn off your laptop (for a little while at least) then head into the waves wherever it’s working – punchier rides five minutes down the road at Watergate Bay, or mellow slides at Towan beach a short hop away in Newquay itself.
3. SWAP: Overtime for chill time
Give yourself some deserved time out. That To-Do list can wait for another day, especially when our Miami-style pool and oceanview hot tub is beckoning. If you can’t down tools completely, bring your work with you, max your productivity without WFH distractions (our café’s coffees, smoothies and lunches have the pep to keep you going) then follow up with a splash, cocktail or clifftop stroll to celebrate a job well done.
4. SWAP: TV dinner for a sundown show
Sunsets here are through the roof. With oceanwide views from your studio or apartment, (or from the deck of TALLO if some box fresh Italo-American small plates take your fancy), you can settle in from golden hour onwards and see the sky and sea light up. Beats a boxset binge anyday.
Large studios with fully-kitted kitchens, open-plan living, plus room for the kids if you’ve got them in tow too. You In? Stellar. Just don’t forget your shades.
